5 On Friday

1. White trees

I don't know what has happened to me! This is the first winter I'm not totally hating. It's been extremely cold (-29c Celsius) but I haven't complained about it. Strange. Winters have been tough for me, because I grew up in Thailand.

Couple days ago I was walking home from uni and I just had to take this pic with my phone, because it was so beautiful!

2. Are you in Pinterest?

I'd love to follow you on Pinterest! Please leave your Pinterest info below so I can do that :)

4. Cutie Pie Stuff is open!

In one of 5 On Friday posts I wrote about Easy dreams. Well I made my dream come true and opened my own shop. You can check it out HERE

3. I love this song!

5. Lovely posts

What I love about blogging is the conversation that follows a post! Bailey's post did just that.

Are Mormonism and Christianity the Same?

What does it mean to be a woman?

Original: Daniele Zedda CC BY 4.0

Gender is more than biology. It is more than chromosomes. Our societies have defined what it means to be a woman or a man.

From a very early age you learn how you should act, what you should like and what you should look like. That's fine, unless what you learn about being a woman is something that suppresses you.

I consider myself lucky. I don't have to hide myself, my talents, my dreams and my thoughts just because I'm a woman. I am a human being, not just a half of a man.

What does it mean to be a woman?

1. Your role and value are defined by the society around you

2. Your body is different

3. You represent a gender that has been suppressed and still faces injustice

4. You can enjoy femininity and masculinity without your sexuality being mocked

5. You can have that special bond that only a mother has with her child

5 On Friday

1. Dogs are the best

THIS is one of the reasons why I love dogs. Have you met my chocolate labrador, Tilli?

2. Living room wall project

We've been planning to do something with our living room wall. First we thought about painting it and went to a store to buy some paint. Unfortunately we couldn't decide the color. Couple days later we decided that wallpaper would be a better option. But we couldn't find a perfect color and pattern. Now we've been thinking to do this THIS

3. Does this ever happen to you?

4. Not sure what to read next?

I found this great site, What Should I Read Next, that helps you find amazing books to read. You can enter a book or author you like and the site will give you lot's of options to read next.

5. Lovely posts I found this week

If you love Jane Austen, you'll love these hilarious posts from The So-Called Homemaker:

I am one of THOSE people

I love taking pictures and I have a pretty good camera. Still, I have noticed, that I take pictures almost only when I travel. So I have a huge number of travel pics, and they are pretty great, but hardly any pics from... you know... everyday life. I want to change that.

Why? Well, because I want to be able to look back and think, oh, that's how it looked like and what a pretty forest there was just outside our second apartment etc.

So, this year I don't want to be one of THOSE people anymore. THOSE people are people who have a great camera and still don't do anything with it.

How I'm going to do this?

1. Learn more about how my camera works.
2. Photo days. Go outside with my camera (town centre, different neighborhoods, nature, etc.) and ask friends to models.
3. Find interesting photo challenges.
4. Start to use my own pictures more here on iammrsk.

5 On Friday

1. Goodbye 5 Random Things

From now on, I will not post 5 Random Things on Sundays. Instead, every Friday you can read 5 fun, interesting, informative... things here on iammrsk.

2. What does it mean to be a woman?

This question has been on my mind this month, because it's our very first Strong & Influential Sisterhood topic! We women are quite complex creatures, don't you think.
