Gender is more than biology. It is more than chromosomes. Our societies have defined what it means to be a woman or a man.
From a very early age you learn how you should act, what you should like and what you should look like. That's fine, unless what you learn about being a woman is something that suppresses you.
I consider myself lucky. I don't have to hide myself, my talents, my dreams and my thoughts just because I'm a woman. I am a human being, not just a half of a man.
What does it mean to be a woman?
1. Your role and value are defined by the society around you
2. Your body is different
3. You represent a gender that has been suppressed and still faces injustice
4. You can enjoy femininity and masculinity without your sexuality being mocked
5. You can have that special bond that only a mother has with her child
