My must-have fall things

Scarves. When it gets chilly, I can't live without scarves. I have many, but I'm constantly looking for new ones.

Jazz. There's nothing better than Renee Olstead's smooth voice when it's getting cold outside and the leaves are changing color.

Candles. No explanations needed.

Hot Chocolate. American bloggers (yes I generalise) need pumpkin lattes. I don't. Fist of all, I hate coffee. Secondly pumpkin is not "a big deal" here in Finland. What I need, instead, is hot chocolate. With whipped cream. From a pretty mug.

Rubber boots. I love Hai rubber boots. They are perfect when you have to walk across puddles. I think I need the pretty mint green ones!

What about you? DO you have any must-have fall things?

Another Shop - Just My Style

In my last post I shared some pics from The Craziest Shop Ever. On our Turku trip we visited another great decor shop and a cafe, called Avelia. It's in an old shipyard building.

Sooooo pretty!

The Craziest Shop Ever

Last week we visited my brother-in-law and his family in Turku. On our way there, we stopped at a really strange shop. It's called Kasvihuoneilmiö (translation: Greenhouse effect).

Kasvihuoneilmiö is an "Alice in the Wonderland" experience! The shop is in an old greenhouse and they sell literally everything from army stuff to cool old furniture.

Fabulous Tictail Stores

1. Mia Blanche Keramik

Extremely pretty handmade ceramic from Sweden. Pretty colors and designs. The milk jug is my favorite.

Mia Valgren's prints are beautiful and full of stories.

This lovely French Tictail store gives me great vibes. I'm not a cat person, but I love those cat notebooks.

4. Havie

Two brothers from Tel Aviv design cool handmade products. I think their wallets are cool.

I'd love you to check out my own Tictail store, too. I sell handmade jewellery.

My Survival Kits - Part 1

I was asked by Man Crates to create my own survival kit with 4-5 items that I consider my do or die essentials.

I decided to create a scenario: I am "stranded" on a deserted island. Here's:

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what would be your do or "die" essentials?

My first Zumba experience

Yesterday I was in a Zumba class, for the first time. I was really excited, because I've wanted to try it for couple years now.

Here's what I  naively expected...

...Rhythm, fun, laughing and a great exercise.

I only got a great exercise. I was sweating like a small pig.

For a beginner like myself (and also the other ladies in the class), Zumba steps were really hard at first. Especially if you have trouble seeing the teacher. I felt that the teacher didn't spend enough time showing us the basics and explaining how a certain move is done. She showed it couple times and then moved on.

It was quite frustrating, because I could see I was not doing the steps (etc.) right, but before I could learn them we were already doing another new move.

I am pretty musical, but it was extremely hard to stay on tempo when you could only concentrate on your moves.

What I loved about the class was how the time flew. This is great for everyone who doesn't like exercising (like me). I also got to wear my new bright yellow workout top. Yay!

Amazon

I hope that after couple classes, I'll get a chance to enjoy the rhythm and have fun!

Have you tried Zumba? What was your first experience like?

Incas, Aztecs and Mayas

I am probably the last person to give any fashion advice.  Nevertheless...

I like surf brands like Roxy, Billabong and Rip Curl. These bags below are all Roxy bags. When I saw them, I just wanted to buy a ticket to South America to see Indians.

All bags are from Zalando

I was so inspired by these bags, that I thought it would be awesome to "pimp white sneakers" with similar patterns. What do you think? Would that be a good idea?
