10 songs that make me cry

Music takes me places - sometimes to very emotional places. After listening one very melancholic song 10 times in a row, I decided to share other beautiful songs that touch me deeply. Some have those powerhouse climaxes. Some are very low key and mellow.

1. All I Ask by Adele

This melancholic masterpiece has 1 sentence that always makes me cry: It matters how this end,s cause what if I never love again.



2. Melancholy blue by Trisha Yearwood

I remember the first time I heard this song; we were watching country music awards with my dad. (I'm from Finland and almost nobody listens to country, but my dad is a huge fan and I love some artists too) We both cried. 



3. Goodbye's (The Saddest Word) by Celine Dion

It baffles me how Celine was ever able to record this song.



4. Empty Chairs At Empty Tables from Les Miserables 

This might be, surprisingly, my favorite song from Les Mis. 



5. Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story from Hamilton

Eliza's parts are so touching!



6. Pretty Funny from Dogfight

This song illustrated insecurity and disappointment perfectly.



7.  Temporary Home by Carrie Underwood

It's a hopeful song but so melancholic.



8. Candle In The Wind 1997 by Elton John

He sang the song at his dear friend Lady D's funeral. 



9. Broken Vow by Lara Fabian

A BIG heartbreak song.



10. Who Wants To Live Forever by Queen

This song gives me chills and brings tears to my eyes when I think about Freddie Mercury.

When I Was 15

10 Years ago, I was fifteen. My favorite singer was Delta Goodrem. I played her Innocent Eyes album all the time. Like non-stop.

I just have to say: BRAVO! Her voice is stunning and I just love the acoustic sound. During these 10 years Delta's voice has improved A LOT: it is filled with passion and it is amazing how she can use it so skillfully.

Do you like listening to free music? Grooveshark is a bit like Spotify, but without the annoying ads. 

The internet is filled with millions of food/baking/recipe sites. They Draw & Cook brings something new to the table. See what I did there? The table thing :D Anyways... Check it out, and you'll know what I mean.

Before my wedding, I spent hours and hours on The Knot. Amazing ideas, pics, tips, etc. You can even create your personal wedding website for free. 

Martha Stewart is a domestic goddess. I love her 'Create' section. 

Mydeco is an online interior design store, but that's not why I think it's a great site. I love their free 3D room planner software and the cute moodboards.

Songs I've sung at weddings

Wondering which song(s) you would like to hear at your wedding? Here are couple suggestions. These are the songs I've sung at weddings.

Probably the first song I've sung at a wedding was Petra's Love. Beautiful lyrics.

At my flatmate's wedding I sang L.O.V.E by Nat King Cole and Can't Take My Eyes Off You by Frankie Valli.

At my other flatmate's wedding, I sang Anna Puu's Linnuton puu (A birdless tree in English) and Aretha Franklin's I Say A Little Prayer.

There's one song I've sung in two languages. Sarah Dawn Finer's Kärleksvisan/For a Friend. Here it's in Swedish:

Then there's the 'Shrek song' It Is You (I Have Loved) by Dana Glover, which I sang at my friend's wedding (she's like a sister to me since we lived together in Thailand in a boarding school). She married my husband's cousin. What a small world!

Last, but not least. I sang at my own wedding. It was hard because it was such an emotional night. And the song I had chosen had very touching lyrics. I sang this song:
